Bkash is a mobile banking system in Bangladesh operated by BRAC Bank Limited. Now I gonna focus all on Bkash customer care. You can send and receive money, cash in and out from outlets and make payments with your phone, with and without the internet. You can even run a savings account and get a loan from BRAC bank through the Bkash service.

How to open a Bkash account

To access this service, you don’t need to go through any account opening hassle. You just need to dial *247# from your phone and go through the given steps on your screen.

You will need to go to any of these 3 places along with these documents:

Bkash digital registration point You will need:

Mobile phone (you can have a smartphone or feature phone, either of them will do).
National ID card original copy.

Agent point

These points are basically some vendors or merchants who have an E-KYC. They will send your information to the Bkash center. You will need:

Mobile phone
NID original copy and photocopy
One copy of the passport-size photograph

Customer care You will need:

NID (Photocopy)/ Driving License (Original and Photocopy)/ Passport (Original and Photocopy)

You will have to fill up a registration form and provide your fingerprint. You also need to be careful about your signature, because it will be verified in case you lose your sim or fall into any issue.

Activate Your bKash Mobile Menu

After going through the registration process, you will have to set a pin code that is unique to you thus nobody can access your account even if they have your phone.

To do this, follow the steps:

1. Dial *247# to go to Bkash mobile menu
2. Choose “Activate Mobile Menu”
3. Enter a 5-digit PIN for your bKash Account
4. Re-enter the PIN to confirm

Forgot your pin code?

It is pretty common to forget the pin code. In this case, you can ask for help on Bkash customer care.

If you are using the Bkash app:

Tap on ‘Forgot PIN?’ from the app’s login screen.

Select the ‘Reset PIN’ option.
You will get a verification code message on your phone, but you won’t have to do anything, it will be added automatically.
Select confirm button.
Scan your face as per the instructions on your screen.
Do not close the app, it will take time to verify you.
Enter the temporary PIN number sent by bKash and tap on the confirm button.
Enter a new 5-digit pin number of your choice.
Confirm new PIN
Re-enter the app to be sure that it is working.

If you are using a feature phone/ do not have the app

After dialing *247# type 9 and select My bKash.
Change PIN by replying 3.
Enter your current pin number.
Enter a new 5-digit pin number.
Confirm again with the new PIN number.
You will get a confirmation message on your phone and the new PIN will be set.
